14m. A steep arete but at an amenable grade and with good protection - the crux is easiest on the left. Excellent and elegant. USER COMMENTS
Found the upper section of the arete hard and committing at 5a.
Crux has gotta be more like 5B?
There is a long reach at about 3/4 height which will be more like 5b for short climbers.
What a great route. Don't forget your micro nuts for the left below the crux. Top class top-out.
Look out for the essentail pebble to complete the crux move at 3/4 height
Look out for the essential pebbleto complete the crux move at 3/4 height.
I didn't find it a long reach (I'm 6 foot 1) but I still thought the move closer to 5b be.
Better than High Neb Buttress!?
Opps should be Neb Buttress, ya know, the one near by.
Steep enough, great position, bomber nuts and a tricky commiting crux move. No pebble was found useful but the very tips of my fingers certainly were. HVS 5b I reckon.
Had a second at this to warm up and had to have a cheeky rest after spending ages getting some bomber horizontal placements out. Great route but Neb Buttress does it for me anyday.
Top move to the break hard if you are short (5b) not if you are tall, like me! Excellent route |
