No way Pete Botterill, me and Dave Parker did this in the early 70's, one point of aid was used, a sling on a dodgy spike and it was climbed ground up on sight! We actually coined the name Pathfinder cos it was the first route on the crag!
It now appears in the guide as first ascent Al Phizaklea and Dave Parker. Wrong, its Al Evans and Dave Parker
6a+ is an absolute joke grade for this route. Thought some of the moves were just as hard as Countach! |
