This route is a bit of a death trap. my friend pulled some massive blocks off the ledge before the top. there's still a lot of loose stuff there. the finishing moves involve pulling up on a virtually detached block that would definitely kill your belayer! if this is your sort of thing you're better off at swanage.
I think the block James talks about is now completely detatched, but the belayer survived!
I thought the rock on this was perfectly alright. There is a big flake on the right at the top which seems okay but is detached, however the better finish is to go straight up from the last bolt to the lower-off using a good hold that isn't obvious from below. The hard bit is lower down. Slightly bold pulling onto the big ledge. |
