Possibly the best route on Portland. Such an enjoyable warm-up!
Super Fun!!
Forgot my headtorch, but still nice.
Okay, so here's one of my niggles.
Ailsa did first ascent and said 5+ - don't know where this 6a+ has come from!
Ah yes - i remember where the 6a+ grade came from - the sportland site - Guru Jim says it's 6a+ - too think you'd imagine a Scots team would grade it 6a+! pah
Excellent route, long and positive holds. sweet!
6a+ came from an OTE report. It's 3+ max.
Hmmm- the grade...a tricky step up on small holds at around the 4th bolt, but that's about it really. I'd say 6a. Wasn't that impressed when I first did it (not long after the first ascent) but now it's cleaned up I agree - a 2* route.
No Cannot be 3* or even 2*. Compare it with "Never Dive a Car". Nice scamble though. Worth 1* and has got to be low in the grade.
I think 6a is ok, not high in the grade though. I thought it was worth 2 stars. Interestingly it seems to have more comments than any other route at Portland!
Nice route, i enjoyed it, never mind about the grade.
Excellent!
Good, but its certainly not the 'best route at Portland'
By the way, a new route just to the left, Paying It Forward is well worth doing too.
Agree with Al. Route to the left is also a pleasant 6a.
dwaffie and pay it forward bothe seem
This is a good little route with a nice technical start, though slightly surpassed by the addition of Paying it Forward to the left.
Climbed Paying it Forward this morning, the move between the 2nd and 3rd bolt felt more like some of the 6a+ routes about, the rest is nice though!
Such a cool route! It flows. |
