Excellent and varied groove climbing with an almost gritstone-like mid-section. Climb poor rock until above the wide chert band. Move up and then left into a corner/groove and follow it to a steep finish that is overcome by a big reach. USER COMMENTS
Another great route on this wall, much harder if you are short, goes without saying really.
Have to agree with JD,I am 6'4'' after all and it was a different route for me both on the crux and at the last final reach. Probably very hard 7b if you are less than 6'. However, a really good route and certainly worth getting on regardless of height.
I've done easier 7b+ but there agin I'm not tall and a lot of the crucial holds were out of reach. Very good sustained route though with a killer slap at the very top!
No slap required if you use the dinky sidepull up left, if anything it makes the top easier for the short than the tall
After the scrappy start, this is excellent. There is a bit of a reach just before the entry to the corner but it's fine at 5'10". The move at the top is also a comfortable span for me. Bottom end 7b for me.
QUALITY! this route is a hidden gem. Very good climbing, and i think it fully deserves 3 stars not 2! its got a bit of everything, slappy holds, pockets, long, hard last move. I found the move to the chains to be the crux after all of the climbing, but you literally just have to work it out. i am quite tall and once you know how its fine, i can imagine it being easier for the short. 7a+ / 7b very good climbing |
