The best of the slabs has good orange rock. High in the grade and the start can prove to be a bit of a stopper.

I disagree. I think the slab gives excellent climbing on good (and clean) rock.
Agree with Ben, but the start does seem hard and the bolts could be in better places low down.
A route of contrasts a very physical start followed by some technical climbing up a slabby rib. Felt more Gritstone in style than limestone!
Tip to make the start easier, performed by Alan H. Climb up to the height of the first bolt, 2m to the left of it, then traverse to clip.
Steep start, good climbing above, felt a bit sparse on bolts to me.
