The substance of this route is the fine right-facing groove in the middle of the wall. Mr. Carrigan reached this by traversing from Mayfair. Later on the bold direct start was added but most of the (infrequent) ascents nowadays follow the original line. There is a crucial hexentric 6 in the groove, I bet you haven't got one in your sack have you? Now there's an excuse.
