An immaculate climb taking the central challenge of the Gwynt. Start at the foot of the grey pillar in the centre of the face. It will be a clip-up at 7c+ when the crag is re-geared.
1) 6c 26m. Climb the left-hand side of the pillar to a big thread. Continue to a roof (bolt) and pull over leftwards to a thread. Move right to a line of pockets and follow these to the belay of Appian Way. 2) 6a 15m. As for Bittersweet Connection or abseil off. FA. (aid) R.Edwards, F.Harvey 25.9.72. Sections were free climbed as part of The Bittersweet Connection (above). The main pitch was climbed free by R.Fawcett 7.83. It was re-geared and and re-climbed after losing some crucial holds by A.Pollitt in 1988.
