Thought the 'Vulcans' just made a bit of a mess of the rope when lowering off by putting kinks into it, and even worse if your partner only wants to 'top rope' the route.

That's why it was the one and only version of this lowering method. You should also be very wary of top-roping on an unclippable lower-off exclusively - always back it up with the top bolt at least.

Beware - the obvious block used to pull onto the crux section is loose, but seems ok for a rightwards pull.

This route is crying out to be climbed directly through the black bulge. Moving leftwards feels like a cop-out.
