High in the grade. Start at a crack and finish at a jutting block on the skyline. USER COMMENTS
This is not a route for beginners - much the same could be said for the following 3 to the left. All are solid 5's. In particular the belay on this route has been moved higher - the top move wouldn't be out of place on a 6a. Be warned!
We climbed after Luke + friends and were pre warned but must disagree. The top looked tricky but was quickly done by using the vague handholds and working feet up slowly until you can reach a horizontal break.
Wouldn't be fun if we all agreed would it! I still maintain that you wouldn't expect such vague moves on a 4. But hey - they're worth a look and the situation's nice.
i agree with luke, this is no way 4+, even before the top move to the lower off (which i backed off in favour of the next one along).
I agree, the top is far too technical and sparse for a 4+ Not a climb for an average 4+ leader!
The top move is not out of place now the rest of the route is getting a nice polish to it.
felt like a 4 + to me if a weeny bit scary but definitely do-able
high in the grade with some odd moves and stances.
top move does look scary, especially if you're short but holds on left buttress make it possible to reach the horizontal break and finish
Probably at least 5 if you Compare it to Jacobs Ladder...
the moves at the top may seem daunting but are definatly not 5 let alone 6a!! as to the belay being raised!!! wot are you on about?? don't talk nonsense because your ego's been battered on a 4+, keep trying and eventualy you'll breeze this route. it will teach you technical moves on good holds that you will use again on harder routes. enjoy
i found this route to be a tad hard for a 4+. the top section takes too much working for it to be that grade.
I felt this route needs more that a F4+ climber, leading, onsight, therefore it cant't be 4+.
Tricky finish, reckon this is a 5. Nicer than the routes to its left, much less strenuous, especially if u keep ur feet moving. |
