A lovely climb which has an intricate middle section. Much easier at the top. USER COMMENTS
Did this for the first time since the FA this weekend - felt about mid 6b to me, and I haven't shrunk...
Well I'm not tall and it felt 6b+ to me.
More sustained than Ecosystem but both are around the same grade, top end 6b?
I'd say it was Fr6b+. Its a lo....ng reach.
A lovely climb. The crux is mid-route with a sharp right hand crimp on the conglomerate to a pocket under the shelf for the left hand. Much easier at the top.
My first 6b lead (my first 6b at all) loved every bit of it as I felt so chuffed having done it. I found the crux to be just above the conglomerate bit when clipping into the next bolt, as the one useful hold for left hand above bolt started slipping after 2-3 seconds, every time I tried it!!! On conglomerate bit the hold mentioned above I found very slippery plus the angle to then reach the pocket above awkward, just a little further right and up there is a hidden one finger-tip pocket and you can get a nice crimp on it, then reach for the pocket above. Top is a lot easier as mentioned.
Fingery crux on the conglomerate, but not reachy at all with decent footwork
Agree - at 5'2" didn't find it reachy.....
Easy enough climbing except one tough PERIOD :)
Just needed to make one more move through the tough section but the pump beat me. |
