Some fine rock and a stunning setting, although the climbing is bold to start with. There has been a small rockfall but the line has been reclimbed since. Start at the far west limit of Flake Ledge (as for Damson). Gain the ledge at 3m and move up and left to a good horizontal crack. Pull up and left boldly to good, well-weathered holds, and continue leftwards more easily on good rock with better protection to a final short wall and the top. Stake belays above and to the right. The difficulties are short lived, though less short if you go up and right a bit (as I did) instead of left, which is where the very easy climbing starts on lovely weathered rock.. |
