First climb I did at Swanage. Plenty of exposure but good gear (once you get there).
My first climb of the season, not having trained and needing to take it easy on a damaged finger - confidence very battered after struggling up this 'easy' climb. wellcome to swannage.
a lesson in ensuring you tick the right climb - my first "severe" lead based on the idea i'd climebed it before when i hadn't. really enjoyed it once i commited to the mantle halfway up.
Great climb with plenty of gear.
First climb of the year a great welcome back. Intimidating exposed start but once first bit of pro is placed its an easy charge to the top.
Well protected? Well, yes after you've done the bold start on no gear. Was probably nearing half way before I got my first worthwile bit of gear.
I think you must have missed something dpmUk, because I found this route to be very well protected. Certainly stacks of gear before half way.
I agree with the above. i found a few runner placements before halfway. Good climbing with maybe one exposed move
Gear a bit sparse at the start but good moves after you gain the ledge. Cam stuck in the crack near the top.
Nice climb but a couple of moves before you can get the first runner in. After that, all fine, with plenty of gear (couldn't see the stuck cam). |
