Good route, well protected with nice moves, didn't feel much harder than Calcitron
I disagree with Felix - I thought this was a lot harder than Calcitron with some hard climbing in the first 10m and slightly tricky gear placed from strenuous and slightly serious positions. I thought nearly E4 and probably 6a. Classy though.
a nasty start, followed by a lovely top section; harder but not as good as Calcitron
great route, but pretty mean - when it gets hard, it just gets harder again and the gear is very strenuous to place with a definite splash potential if you pump out while placing it!
it took me 3 trips to get to the right spot for the abseil in for the routes off this ledge!! i kept ending up in Benny or on the Promenade! - try heading slightly west from the 2 abseil stakes at the small rocky bluff below and a little east of the mile marker - the stakes are below and between the mile marker and a little stile on the path (which is just east of the mile marker) |
