6c, S1. A great introduction to this sector for soloists. From the ledge gain a secondary small shelf then head leftwards to an arete and corner. Tricky low down. USER COMMENTS
Err, this description is very wrong. The one in the Rockfax is correct, although the topo isn't. The route finishes leftwards onto a big ledge, not straight up the friable stuff as suggested on the topo. Good route though; technical with a crux at 45 feet and fantastic rock. Harder for the short. Should have an equivalant French grade of F6b.
The hardest of the 3 DWS E3s in this sector.
Easier adjectivally and more enjoyable than Fathoms. Technical climbing with no distinct crux but a lot of tricky bits with some respite in between. |
