Nicely situated climbing. Start below the arete, and climb it easily to a ledge at 15m. Trend rightwards and ascend a thin crack, just left of the upper arete, finishing up the wall above. USER COMMENTS
had to back off this route on 26/5/03 due to dive bombing gulls. i'll be back though 'cos the head wall looks top.
Finally made it back for a rematch - superb crimpy climbing up the headwall, with more gear than you shake a wire at! Scary top outs on all these routes though.
I'll second that - well worth pre-placing a rope for the top out.
The headwall crack is quite technical although the fingerlocks improve with height; good climbing, reminiscent of Stroof although with slightly better feet. And, yes, the top out is quite gnarly. |
