i agree. an exercise in pain tolerance more than anything.
Ridiculously hard without the arete or boulder to the right. Having warmed up flashing Sleepwalker then Daydreamer, I couldn't come close to this despite dozens of efforts in good conditions. If this is English 6a, Satin is English 5b.
The boulder and arete are definitely out.

Yes it was. I was trying super-direct (which I've heard is closer to English 6c), rather than coming in slightly from the right using the better holds. E2 6b in the definitive guide IIRC.
Lost a pebble (the 'juggy' one up and left) a couple of years ago and is now slightly harder. Doesn't climb as nicely, is more like 6b than 6a (though it was always on the cusp), but still a great problem. |
