8m. Crank on those classic jams up the handle-shaped crack to a trickier finish. Short but oh so sweet, and 5a for wall-rats! USER COMMENTS
Truly excellent hand jamming -- a good place to take wall rats for their first grit outing :)
One of the best short cracks in the Peak!
Archetypal grit crack, small but PERFECTLY formed.
Peeled out of this crack on a warm summer evening of bouldering in 1980 ... resulting in a smashed heel! Took up fell running after that.
Possible to lay it back but so much easier to sink those jams! Excellent!
did sauls crack on the same day and found it easier than this, great route though, leaves you with some knarly jamming wounds
Not hard unless you're about as adept at jamming aas myamte (who had done a 6b+ boulder problem earlier on that I couldnt get near so it was nice to get my own back).
Quite an amusing tussle! Layback-ed the first two meters, or so, then swung 'round into great jams, before a much-needed no-hands rest in the horizontal. |
