10m. The superb crack and groove are usually soloed as stopping to place gear is such hard work and may make it E2. USER COMMENTS
Phew! The grade reflects the effort at last. Great route, but I think the description is a little unfair on Foord, given the times... He's very embarrassed that he hasn't led this free - yet!
Such a great route / problem; thin jamming at its best. Hard to grade really. E2 for effort? The boulderers would have to leave their mats at home of course ;-) But with a nut or Friend thrown in quickly at the end of the immediate difficulties, more like E1?
only E1 really. Although 6a, the moves are low down, obvious, shortlived and perfectly protected. The worst bit is the horrendously green finishing groove. Save this one for a dry spell!
this route is more powerful than technical (as given)its obvious what to do but power is whats required
Talk sense will you this is hard; E3 for effort because it is way thuggish and merits 6b
at least E2. E1 6a implies 1 hard and safe 6a move low to the ground, this is a continuous series of unrelenting, powerful 6a moves woven into the sheath of E3 |
