i found enough gear to stop me decking throughout but wouldn't say the climb is riddled with gear placements. good route.
not bold in the slightest...once you have the thread in place you can't deck out until you the route is almost over - at which point there are a dozen placements....
A lovely route. I'd strongly agree with Leon. The description of quite bold is fair enough. You're not going to deck but at times the gear is some way below you.
Bold and balancy, but a breeze compared to its neighbours (to the right :-)
The small thread that is about 5 m up got destroyed on Sunday. Someone tried to use it to escape from Scoop Face by lowering themselves downwards and it the thread snapped. Not that surprising considering the size of the threat.
That explains why I couldn't find any thread on saturday. Managed to get a dodgy small cam in at about 4 or 5m in what I presume is the remains of the thread. |
