10m. Climb left from the block with difficulty (5b for the tall), up the wall and into the centre of The Scoop via a good pocket and hard mantelshelf. Finish as for the regular route.

USER COMMENTS

I used to cycle from Newton Heath (Manchester 1957) to Castle Naze (and Windgather)regularly and the route described in the Scoop was climbed in in rubber gym shoes. The grade today must be slightly higher (must go back and have a look)due to polishing?

Prob E1 5C due to polish low down. Crux rockover has good holds - less so for hands but great for feet!
