The hanging crack has been the scene of many a stuck runner, seconds beware!
Lead this last weekend as my second ever lead - s'good cos its long enough to feel like a proper trad climb rather than a bouldering problem - severes here I come
I think this is the climb i mean, nice crack, just left of medicine, given S 4a in the guide book??? Really well protected, but pulling onto the bulge seems a bit hard for 4a.
Cracking little route. Passing the second bulge is the best move, no more than 4a in my opinion though.
Felt easy for the severe grade.
Was the 'Hard for the grade' comment written before it was upgraded from VDiff? Probably Severe, but definitely low in the grade.

Easy after you pass the bulge. I must be missing a trick, because it felt like 4b to me. Bomber gear, with a very very stuck cam in the hanging crack (why?! it's perfect for a nut placement). |
