Adjacent Routes 12m. Follow the crack up the pleasant right-hand side of the arete to a ledge then finish direct or step left, both are nicely exposed. Good gear and great positions make this one of the best climbs on the cliff - a little more length and it would get the ultimate accolade of three stars. Photo page 111. USER COMMENTS
A peak district classic. The belay is reasuringly close to the atmospherically exposed step left, making this a great itro route for novices.
Makes a great solo: no moves on it are too hard, but the exit is nicely exposed.
Their right about being over too soon, an enjoyable warm up for the proficient or a great route for the novice leader.
Ditto all the above. Would make a nice early lead, loads of bomber gear.
A classic? Doesn't say much for the overal quality of climbing in the peak.
A classic, no. A classic Diff - sure! 2 stars? Maybe, but only because it's close to the road. |
