Apparently this has recently lost a crucial hold over the lip. Feels more like 5a than 4b to me.
A hold has come off!. I thought it felt a bit ard.
A good practice for heel-hook. Reach up the juggy hold and do a pull up, right-hand lock, left heel-hook and look for a left-hand pinch (quickly before losing your strength completely). Great Fun.
Also felt it was pretty hard for grade - given HVS 5a in Kinder guide. A worrying rockover with a stretch for a pinch to pull into balance.
Probably VS 5a as you can get a high runner. Generally agree with Rockfax but the Windgather 5a's are not consistent.
I did this on 10/4/08. It felt 5a and without the runner above the roof, you would hit the ledge for sure if you came off at the crux. Having said that only one hard move so VS may not be wrong. Never 4b! |
