Adjacent Routes 1) 5b, 10m. Quickly gain the thin hanging crack with difficulty and follow it to ledges and a belay. 2) 4c, 15m. The wall on the left is climbed via a rounded mantelshelf. The pitch can be improved by hand-traversing the rounded pod that runs out towards the arete just below the top. USER COMMENTS
powerful start,but o.k once feet are on lip.the offwidth to the left is a mini rays roof.given e3 6a but its harder.
The mini Rays Roof referred to above is mentioned in the previous Staffs guide. Joe Brown was the first ascensionist and he rated it as His hardest ever offwidth and therefore it probably deserves far more attention historically. |
