10m. Heart-stoppingly precarious! The crescent-shaped ramp is gained by a hard rock-over. Once established pad carefully up and right to glory. The route is as unprotected as it looks, the finish is very fluffable and the landing truly awful. USER COMMENTS
For a true onsight, this is definitely not low in the grade. The crux is easily 6a and I've seen better
I agree with Nige M. I think 5c understaes it a bit.
On sight, definitely 6a. Headpoint, not a bad idea and still probably 6a if easy for the grade.
It's a long time since I did it (onsight 12 years ago), but at the time I thought it a soft touch for E5 6a.
soft for the grade! i dont think so i had a go onsight, and backed off not a top rope in sight and if felt every bit e5 (hence the not doing it) peace of mind felt far more probable
No way is it 5c, it's harder technically than any of the '6a' moves on Track of the Cat or Ascent of Man. Definitely NOT low in the grade.
perhaps looks like a soft touch from the bottom, but the crux final moves, rocking over the ripple feel very exposed all of a sudden. |
