Adjacent Routes 6m. The twisting crack is very tricky, especially for the short. USER COMMENTS
Quite a tricky climb. I think the initial reachy moves off a finger jam over the bulge warrent 4c, as does the top out. HS sounds about right though as it's short and well protected.
A great little climb, definatly worth while the moves are good and so are the holds.
Definitely justify a HS 4c (minimum) for the initial and finishing moves.
If you're 6 ft. and taller, its a piece of cake. If you're a shortie like myself (5'9"), the climb involves jamming, laybacking and bridging, and a very hard and awkward top-out. Just don't leave it as a warming-down route.
A great little route, the grade's about right though quite tricky for 4b. Certainly not S 4b as the BMC guide says! |
