Adjacent Routes 12m. From the arete, trend left and climb the slab, using the eponymous move at least once. Bold in the middle then easing. USER COMMENTS
The grade of this route is a joke, in my book. It's basically a solo with gear only arriving when it's all over. Not what most HS leaders would expect and I'm glad that my less expecienced partner handed the ropes over to me. Not much between this and Sunset Slab, and that gets HVS. A good solid VS.
A bold, bold lead for HS, whimper.
Did this straight after Thrug (HVS 5a and pretty straightforward) and almost backed off it. Good move when you pluck up the courage though.
Bold 4c move in the middle has to make it VS, surely
Old school grade, from when there was no gear anyway. Mantle (felt hard 4c to me) in a bold position makes this hvs 4c to me. The BMC guiIt's a good laugh
What I was trying to say above was that the BMC guide has downgraded this to VS 4a, but hey, it's a good laugh to throw in the odd sandbag.
I wouldn't argue with HVS 4c. |
