Route Grade Votings

Adjacent Routes 14m. Climb the well-travelled slab (tricky to start) to a ledge then tackle the well protected crack left of the final chimney. USER COMMENTS
No way is this HS 4b. It always used to be HVDiff which is nearer the mark - I'd give it low end Severe. The first half (up the polished slab) is rather pointless, it's hard (slippery) to start, then easy. The second half up the crack (not the slab) to the left of the chimney gives nice well-protected climbing, not that rounded either. Maybe whoever gave it the grade and 'sloper' warning did a different route?
Absolutely agree, soloed this in the rain and appart from a little bit of thought required on the initial polished holds its a nice straight forward HVD. |
