18m. The magnificent central crack set in a shallow groove is approached from a cave recess. It is delicate up the ramp and strenuous up the groove - hence the name. A rounded exit completes the fun, though according to an acquaintance who has been to Thailand it is nothing like an elephant's arse! USER COMMENTS
Bit of a sketchy move to complete the traverse to the crack, but then fine climbing in some great positions :)

Highly unusual and therefore tremendous, as for the grade I think it's HVS if you are a E2 climber.
What a great route - a very impressive line up this steep buttress, solid 5a all the way, loads of variety and a slightly scary finish. Brilliant!
Did Hen cloud Eliminate, Bachelors Left hand, and Delstree all in same day. Delstree was the hardest of the 3 by quite a long way.
That's strange - I did all 3 in the same day as well and thought that delstree was the easiest, but that may be because i was actually warmed up by then
I was having a bad day. I got onto the main crack and really struggled to place gear. Too exhausted to carry and so I am ashamed to say that I bailed. I'll try again when I'm feeling fitter.
Some sublime thuggery up the groove; very sustained 5a. Best route I've done at Hencloud. |
