Adjacent Routes A rambling classic up the ridge which has a mini-Alpine feel. 1) 6m. Climb to a belay on the ledge below a step. 2) 20m. Tricky and exposed moves above the ledge then relatively easy ground to the top. USER COMMENTS
A fine exposed climb. Do not attempt it in strong wind... Only 2 tricky moves one balancy and one steep.
A superb line, rather let down IMHO by the inconsistent difficulty - a bit of a one-move wonder.
definatly a one move wonder but worth it. bit of a let down at the end. more like a vdiff than hvd3c (hvd3c in The Roaches difinitve guide)
As stated above, not a climb for bad weather. As a beginner myself, climbing this as a vdiff then getting to the crux was a little offputting. But once around and over, it gives for a hvdiff (My partner is experienced of 8 years and agrees its more like a hvdiff or harder. But check that adrenalin rush wayheyyyyyyyy!
My first ever trad climb :) Its quite exposed so was thrilling for a 1st traditional lead, even though it wasnt a difficult route! The wind can be a bit off putting however!** |
