24m. A major classic up the tallest buttress here and one of the best routes in Western Grit. Climb a tricky crack, a bulge then steeper cracks to a long move on a pocket to reach a huge flake (long tape runner). Reach the slab and ledges then step left and finish up the fine jamming crack to an awkward bulging exit. USER COMMENTS
3 STARS ARE NOT ENOUGH .MY PERSONNEL FAVORITE ROUTE ON GRITSTONE.
Quite simply the best HVS route I've ever climbed - as good as any 3-star HVS at the Roaches or Stanage! Sustained interest throughout.
Brilliant.
Quite a desperate secton until the big flake.
I only seconded it but wish I'd led it.
Solid 3 stars :D Almost as good as the Sloth at the Roaches.
Good but a bit disjointed. Thought HCE was the better route |
