Route Grade Votings

Adjacent Routes 10m. The flake-crack in the left-hand wall of the descent gully is an evergreen micro-classic. Layback the flakes to a tricky exit where they end. USER COMMENTS
Superb route, doesn't mater what grade you climb do this - and love it!
Yes, the grade is irrelevant, climb it and enjoy. If you don't enjoy this, give up climbing!
Hmmm great climb, worth severe in my book, perhaps the most sustained VDif in the country. Has seen VS leaders back off it....
I soloed this straight after Hell crack (led)- it's steep, exposed, sustained and has the crux at the top. Pretty meaty for a v.diff, I'd say.
a hard VDiff or HVDiff...either way it requires a 'Sustained' health warning!!
Lovely, satisfying climbing, good protection. The final mantleshelf is typical Stanage. I'd reccommend it for a first lead. Excellent value at only V-Diff.
If you like laybacking, DO THIS ROUTE!!!! A quality line, whatever your grade! I loved it (not that you'd guess.........).
the best vdiff on stanage?
You wont get a better VDiff. Bomber protection & great climbing. I guess it is a little sustained but would be pretty peed if I led VS and backed off.
The stuff that dreams are made of...
soloed this today along with about 5 other stanage vdiffs, and it was definitely the easiest. Dunno what you lot are on about, huge jugs all the way up, although ok its steep, but jus tkeep going! Hard Diff.
An enjoyable route, shame about the insitu rotting gear.
This is the best route in the world.
Thebest vdiff Ive done, thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end. Just wish it was longer
"insitu rotting gear"? It would appear it's gone.
Soloed this today, don't think I have ever enjoyed a Vdiff so much. Absolute classic.
If only if it were twice as long.
i thought it was really easy for v diff soloed it today there isnt one slightly hard move all really secure.
what?are there meant to be hard moves on V.diffs?
One of the best routes on grit. If you climb VS like I did then it makes a fantastic solo. Very secure feeling. A must for everyone.
This route rules. It rules!
Simply the best V Diff on grit (or anywhere? maybe Squareface or Commando Ridge compete?)
Absolutely awsome route. Place a cam low down and dont place any more until the very top which is a little unnerving! Jug after Jug makes for such an enjoyable route! someone please invent a 4 star rating!! An absolute must for anyone at this end of stanage!
I have recently lead this route after seconding it last year. Two different prospects! A fantastic route but don't be fooled by the grade. |
