18m. An immaculate test of nerve and ability; protection is just adequate. Start up a crack then swing out left and make a fierce mantel to reach a creaking flake. Up this then move left up a shallow scoop to a ledge (crucial small Friend). Layback up and teeter right, or move right and climb the headwall direct - harder. USER COMMENTS
A terrifc route but don't forgot that cam!
Awesome route, one of best on grit at the grade! Final run out headwall adds to the excitement!
One of the most enjoyable routes I've done, can't recommend it highly enough.
Brilliant!!!
Intimidating but pretty amenable - it's a fair E3 with modern protection. No soft-touch for star quality though, a magnificent route. The climbing is great as is the "on the wall" situation, all more akin to a proper mountain pitch than the usual gritstone shenanigans.
great route. Didn't feel bold, just tricky as it was a bit warm. the crux felt like the move to the top break before the headwall. |
