14m. The crack splitting the centre of the north facing side wall is sustained and delicate. Not in current guidebook.
Still sandy 1 year on. Not sure I'd give it E1 though - I've done harder Vs's
Will always be sandy as the rain washes it down from above. I'd agree more like HVS due to unprotected crux move possible ground fall if you muff it.
A real mess now! Looks like top ropers/abseilers have loosened the top. Needs drastic remedial action. Would be a good route.
you will not ground fall off this, there is lots of gear. Probably HVS and quite easy at that.
I give in. You climb on choss and I'll climb on clean rock.
I only found a bit of loose rock and there's enough gear to make it safe. I never felt in much danger there are HVS's at Anglezarke that are more committing.
Clean enough at present, despite some damp due to overnight rain. Very well protected.
Cleaned up early 2010. In its present state HVS 5a (sustained). A good route.
My intrepid leader pulled several very large chunks of the mid-height flake off this today. What is left seems a bit more stable. It's probably a little harder than it was, stiff-HVS or soft-E1.
Nowhere near E1 and only just about HVS.
