Adjacent Routes 1) 6a. Climb the wall right of the big flake. Follow small flakes to the belay. 2) 6a. Continue up the pillar in a magnificent position. The full route can be done in one run-out, on one rope, although you may want to take two. USER COMMENTS
Once you've done the harder moves at the bottom there's a pretty big runout to the mid height belay. Though the climbing is not hard, this is underprotected. The belay is a thread with a bunch of tat ... much of this is old and I'd recommend taking some of your own to back it up. Overrated route
Second pitch is also hard for the grade (both pitches are harder than the 6bs to the left). Made harder by the fact that you cna't see the bolt you're going for on a committing move.
Badly bolted compared with other routes here. No proper lower off from pitch 1 (worn tat on route or single bolt out right).
just climbed this. There are 3 route son the pillaar, left, middle and right. THis is the middle one with the RH starts (according to the new guide) THe LH start goes up the left at 6a+.
A good route, more like 6a sup than 6a, hardest at start but superb top pitch at 6a. Definitely recommended. |
