Adjacent Routes 150m. The gully that splits the RH and LH buttresses. Interesting ice pitch at the start, then straightforward to the top. If the interest fades, a chimney on the left offers a few good moves at II/III and a link to the next route, above the "window" pitch. USER COMMENTS
I followed this in lean conditions 18/1/03. Despite a little moderate ice low down it was otherwise dull and easy, barely rating the grade 1
6/2/09 Perfect winter conditions for a return to winter climbing after couple of seasons. Nice little ice pitch at bottom and great neve all the way up. Long pitches but good belays to be found. Lakes guidebook only gives 100m but definitely more like listed here. Good route for novice or rusty climber (like me).
My first winter route in the uk 1.1.2010, nice little ice bulge to begin then very easy to the top in powder snow |
