Adjacent Routes 12m. The deep gully on the right side of Bowfell Buttress. The first pitch is the crux followed by easy climbing to the top. USER COMMENTS
I was quite impressed when I first climbed this in winter 1978, well banked up but with an ocy first pitch. The next party comprised two blokes, well kitted out, and a Springer Spaniel ..yeah..really..who ran up between them, tail wagging like mad, on a sling attached to the rope and a clever dog harness! A true story. I've never forgotten North Gully. |
