14m. Climb the crack right of the corner and the overhang to a ledge then step right and follow a shallow crack that leads to a better ledge. Finish up the right-hand crack above. USER COMMENTS
The face left of the top crack is a better finish athough the last move is VS territory.
Pretty pumpy sumouting the overhang but well protected throughout (if you have large pro for the base crack). Nice climb and quite testing at the HS grade.
Tough crux - definitely well into the 4c technical grade, and possibly harder than that if you're not very tall. The remainder of the route gives pretty easy climbing, although not uninteresting - found myself using a reverse handjam in the top crack. Excellent Hard Severe, but only deserves this adjectival grade because of the crux.
Very enjoyable and protectable. The finish up the wall and small roof to the left at the top are more in keeping with the 4c tech grade, probably VS4c. |
