8m. 'Walk' up the ramp leftwards and climb the blunt arete into evermore harrowing territory and a tough exit above a big drop.

I did all 3 of these routes the same day, and i felt that Phaestus was no harder than Cochybondhu, and it felt much less bold. I'm loathe to fly in the face of long established opinion, but i wouldn't give this a higher grade than E3 5b (sorry!) The description gives here doesn't really match up either. When you get to the top of the ramp, there's a dodgy mantle and it's over...there's no blunt arete.

I agree with martin that its not E5, but it is gnarlier than the other 2. Maybe E4,5c
Goi Ashmore - 11/Apr/03

i thought this were pretty easy when i did it, maybe e3 5c, or perhaps even e3 5b...

Not to my likeing, only done it once, but solo the other two routes lots of times. E4 5c?
Con Carey - 17/Feb/04

The consequences of fluffing the final hard move probably warrents the E5, as you start of a ledge 3 meters above the ground with a total lack of gear.
