Embarrassingly this is the only VS I have ever fallen off (excuse: had just fallen of Gomorrah before it and was quite pumped), and can say with some authority that one should be very careful about using friends in this very parallel-sided and smooth crack. I ripped two friends before a hex stopped me. So it "swallows all the gear you place" but may well spit it out again afterwards. Take care.
