Adjacent Routes 14m. A spooky lead up the front of the rounded pillar. Easy ground leads up the centre of the buttress then make bolder moves up and left into a scoop. Follow this with increasing apprehension. USER COMMENTS
Not a bold route at all, pretty much laced with gear once you fiddle it in. But nice climbing with sustained interest.
I agree, even in a gale with darkness aproaching it only felt like VS 5a/b
Oh yea I forgot to say its a great little route!
Given VS 5a in Al Rouse's 1976 guide! A strange route - if you get it right it feels like VS, get it wrong and it's E1 - maybe I'm not very good in fiddling in gear!
a fantastic route, only spooky if you're not used to sandstone. Otherwise really standard! Tall, varied and good quality rock. Perfect for a summer's evening. |
