Route Grade Votings

A typical Stanage HVS solo up the clean rib right of the gully. Excellent but hard if you don't use the right-hand arete.
Yes yes *quite clearly* just a boulder problem even when onsight soloed without mats. If this section of climbing was found on a route and was protectable it would get E1, but obviously since there's no gear and you could break something quite nicely from either the lungey crux or ensuing rounded top-out, it's *obviously* only HVS or even V2. Grit grading, don't you just love it.
This is an enjoyable problem. Felt high, even with a mat. Steady head required.
Like all highballs, hard to grade. I would say E1 5c (highball V2). Whether it is "delightful" or not is also a matter of opinion.
