A Kinder classic; a fine climb, varied and interesting. 1) 4b, 12m. Climb the bubbly ridge over a bulge (thread) to a stance on a good ledge. 2) 4c, 18m. Start around on the left of the ledge and traverse right delicately to the ridge, then move right into a groove and climb this to the top.

HS 4c is about right, the hard bit is short with bomber gear at chest level. Definitely not VS as in the new guide.
The line on the topo in the latest Western Grit is wrong, after moving right the route goes up the ridge before moving into the V-groove (the topo shows it going right immediately and walking up the square chimney).
