16m. Classic. Climb the ledgy left arete then balance right into the beckoning groove. Up this delicately to ledges out right then step right again for a gritty finish. Harder for the short. USER COMMENTS
not really harder for the short, maybe for the very short it is harder but at 5' 6" there is no problem.
Unusual for Denham in that it actually has reasonable gear (locals usually TR most routes, hence all the belay posts along the top). Nice route.
Classic indeed - attractive line, elegant and consistent climbing. But only worth 2 stars if it's as sandy as it usually is - pity - stop TRing and lead it.
led as my first trad outdoor lead! coolest climb, coolest name!
Led it 20/03/05 and found loads of good gear on it. Easy VS at most. Technique not brawn required. Wasn't too sandy either.
Rocktart - Locals do not usually top rope routes at denham! Maye your getting confused with the scout and cadet groups!
Bit bold on the first section, good technical climbing.
Nice route, better name. Two good gear placements in the middle protect all the tricky moves. Don't think locals top-rope (not sure if I count as a local) you may mean the far end, but most belay stakes are there to belay from...as there isn't anything else along the top, not sure where that strange assumption came from.
nik's comment seconded - still VS4c if you're 5'6 (if that is 'short') |
