This is included mostly for historical interest, but judging by the polish must have been very popular indeed in its day. The Victorian pioneers seemed to like the resemblance of the cracks to Chamonix fissures, and upside-down ascents of the easy side were de rigeur. The right arete via a monodoigt. Doubtless it was considered ungentlemanly to use it in the Victorian era.
