The first piece of rock reached when using the southern approach has long been popular, partly because of some good routes and partly because of its accessibility.
Erosion - This section of the crag is suffering especially badly from erosion as the cliff edge vegetation has been worn away. Please try and avoid abseiling and top-roping here. Guidebook page 310.
