The massive tufa-draped overhanging wall on the main section of Makinodromo is a breathtaking piece of rockscape and a beacon to climbers from all over the world who are drawn to it to try one of the World's most famous sport routes Lourdes. There are also a number of equally fine but even harder climbs that link clusters of tufa via fierce pocketed walls. The wall does see some shade late on in the day, or when the sun is high in the sky, but generally it is a hot venue. Guidebook page 144.
