Standing close to the beach is the 35m-high Petite Aiguille, and running up behind it is the soaring ridge of La Saphir. These are popular (and polished) venues though the climbing is excellent. In the summer you will be heavily scrutinised by the beach party! Guidebook page 96.

La Saphir Top 50 A classic up the long ridge gives Alpine-style climbing by the seaside. It can make a great end to a long day if you walk back... 1 user comment | 3 Stars | 5 |

La sortie des artists 1) 5, 2) 5+. There is a direct start but the undergrowth gets in the way so it is better to branch right from La Saphir. | 1 Stars | 5+ |

Direct de la pierre fine 1) 5+, 2) 5+. As above, branch right out of La Saphir to avoid the old bolts and bush-bashing. | 1 Stars | 5+ |
