Ruota del Tempo is a great crag to approach in the car; you have no idea that it is there until you turn a corner, look up left, and, hey presto, an immaculate red and grey limestone wall popping out of the hillside. This is probably the best of crag in the Domusnòvas area. It hasn’t got the variety of Punta Pilocca but virtually every route is a classic giving superb and absorbing climbing from the very first move. With the exception of a couple of the routes on the far right, most pitches here are steep and tiring and a day at this place leaves more impression on your biceps than fingertips. It is of most appeal to those leading in the upper 6s and 7s and has two contrasting halves. The left-hand side of the wall has a mixture of technical and sustained moves linking shallow corners, grooves and overlaps; whilst on the right-hand side grey-streaked faces and long impending tufas are the main ingredients.
